Katelyn DiRaimo, a native of Florida, has been an integral part of the CuraSouth team since its inception. Working in the business development department, Katelyn connects patients with essential resources, driven by her deep passion for helping others. “I have a personal background fighting against human trafficking,” Katelyn explains. “Providing quality treatment to people in need is more than just a 9-to-5 job for me.”
Helping Those in Need
Originally pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Florida Atlantic University, Katelyn’s interest in the injustice of human trafficking grew. This passion led her to partner with organizations in Palm Beach dedicated to helping trafficking victims. “My first job out of college was at a domestic violence shelter,” she recalls. “I conducted intakes with women fleeing abusive relationships and assisted with case management. I also responded to live 911 calls as a social worker, which I did for about a year.”
Her Journey to Guardian Recovery
After transitioning from emergency response work, Katelyn’s drive to support those in need led her to Guardian Recovery. She started her journey as a counselor and now applies her counseling perspective to her role in business development. Since joining the CuraSouth team, Katelyn has found deep fulfillment in her work. “It’s heartwarming to hear from past clients who enjoyed their time with us and are still thriving in their recovery,” she shares.

A Dynamic Role
In her day-to-day work, Katelyn thrives in a fast-paced, flexible environment. “I run around Tampa and St. Petersburg, working primarily with hospitals and therapists to offer our services and be a resource,” she says. The challenges of coordinating services with the Tampa community provide her with a unique set of problem-solving opportunities. “Finding the right time and willing social worker or therapist for someone needing treatment is challenging, but I thrive on it.”
Guardian Recovery Culture
Katelyn feels at home with the compassionate team at Guardian Recovery. “There’s a customer service aspect here that’s unique,” she says. “Our facility is clinically hands-on. I can hold full-blown interventions to help people commit to treatment.” Her genuine approach to helping clients ensures high-quality care. “We keep it light at CuraSouth. It’s a family. We want clients to be comfortable and never feel judged.”
“I love Guardian,” says Katelyn. “It’s a great company because we work for people, not robots. My supervisor keeps it fun and light, and everyone maintains a good attitude, even when things get stressful.”
