“I can’t thank the Plymouth House and the staff enough for my experience through their facility. I have gone to multiple treatments in the past, but this one is by far special. I did their Detox, Residential and IOP program. I am incredibly grateful to have ended up there. The tech staff, clinical staff and operational staff is close to none. The facility is beautiful and most importantly they met me with love, kindness and support when I needed it the most. They provided me with the necessary tools to get better and feel confident on achieving a life of happiness and sobriety. I know what it’s like to feel like there’s no way out, if you are there this is the spot for you.”

During a very difficult time for my family, their team showed compassion, patience, and genuine support every step of the way. They made me feel heard, supported, and hopeful again. The only thing I didn’t like was the limited communication calls were only allowed twice a week at the beginning, there wasn’t much flexibility for additional contact. The environment was supportive and focused on helping adolescents heal and grow, both emotionally and mentally. It is clear that the team genuinely cares about the well being and success of each individual. I highly recommend Guardian Adolescent Recovery to any family seeking support for their child. Their dedication and commitment truly make a difference. My daughter left Guardian Recovery with all her services in place. Thank you Nina, Lenimar, Bob, Liz, Alejandra and all the other staff.”

Our Florida-based representatives are here to help you 24 hours per day.
You don’t have to work this out before you call because a care level recommendation will be made during the initial assessment. The short version: detox comes first when stopping could be medically dangerous, which is most often the case with alcohol and benzodiazepines, and frequently with opioids. Residential is for when you need structure and 24-hour support to get traction, whether or not you need detox.
Most of our programs are staffed to welcome new clients seven days per week. This means most clients can start the same day, next day, or in alignment with their schedule.
The length of care is dependent on the level of care and how you respond to it. Detox typically runs up to seven days, depending on the substance. Residential ranges from two weeks to 90 days, and PHP or IOP can run for several months. Outpatient and virtual care can continue for months at a lower intensity. Longer stays correlate with better long-term outcomes, which is why we’ll sometimes recommend more time than your insurance initially authorizes. Your clinical team reassesses on a set schedule and works with you, so the plan can shorten or extend based on where you actually are.
That depends on what is being treated, and a prescriber decides it with you after the medical assessment. For opioid use disorder we prescribe FDA-approved options including buprenorphine and naltrexone. For alcohol use disorder, naltrexone, acamprosate, and disulfiram. During withdrawal, short-term medications to manage specific symptoms and, where the risk is present, to prevent seizures. For co-occurring conditions like depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder, our psychiatric providers manage medication alongside therapy. If you arrive on a medication that’s working for you, bring it in its original labeled container along with the prescriber’s information — we’d rather continue it than restart from scratch.
For residential: a week of comfortable clothes, alcohol-free toiletries, your photo ID and insurance card, prescription medications in their original labeled containers, and a phone charger. Laundry is available on site, so pack lighter than you think. A detailed list goes out once your admission is confirmed.
Substances or alcohol, weapons, aerosols, anything containing alcohol including mouthwash and many hand sanitizers, and valuables you’d hate to lose. The full prohibited list comes with your admission confirmation. If you’re unsure about a specific item, simply ask before you pack it.
Device access is limited during the first phase of residential treatment and increases as you progress. The reason is practical rather than punitive: the first days are when contact with the people and places tied to your use does the most damage. [State the current policy: which phase, how long, what access looks like after.] You’ll be able to reach family during scheduled call times regardless.
Three balanced meals a day plus snacks, prepared on site. Tell admissions about allergies, dietary restrictions, and religious requirements during intake and the kitchen will accommodate them.
Each client will personalize their daily activities to a large degree. A schedule may look something like morning meditation, breakfast, group therapy, individual counseling, lunch, recreational therapy, dinner, an evening activity, then personal time. We want to empower each client to make the most of their time with us.
Every client will stay in a private room and have personal time each day for reading, journaling, or relaxing.
Yes. Treatment is voluntary and you can choose to end it. We ask that you speak with your treatment team first, because the impulse to leave usually peaks during detox and then passes once stabilization is achieved. Leaving early measurably increases the likelihood of a relapse or overdose, so we would rather help you arrange a safe discharge rather than walking out at 2 a.m. with no plan.
