Our journey begins with a critical first step: a medically supervised detoxification in our state-of-the-art inpatient detox center. Recognizing the potential discomforts and risks associated with drug or alcohol withdrawal, our goal is to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable experience. This phase is bolstered by the expertise of our licensed medical professionals, who employ cutting-edge protocols and compassionate care to stabilize the client physically while setting the groundwork for the next stages of recovery.

Following detoxification, clients can seamlessly transition into the residential treatment phase. This segment of our program is designed to address the broader spectrum of recovery beyond physical stabilization. Here, clients engage deeply with various therapeutic modalities, both traditional and innovative, to foster mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. The residential environment offers a nurturing space for clients to reflect, heal, and grow, supported by a team of dedicated professionals.

Medical Detoxification

Medical detox is a crucial stage on every journey of addiction recovery. The physical and psychological symptoms associated with drug and alcohol withdrawal can be unpredictable and can result in serious complications when left untreated. At CuraWest our team of licensed medical professionals and compassionate support staff members work together to provide the safest, most comfortable detox experience possible.

As soon as you arrive at our Denver detox center, you will undergo a detailed medical assessment to help our treatment team determine which detox methods will be most beneficial for your unique case. In some instances, medications will be administered under the supervision of a nurse practitioner. In addition to medication management, we offer therapeutic care, holistic detox methods, and a thorough introduction to the remainder of the recovery process. Clients are encouraged to take advantage of the services we offer, and are welcome to relax in their well-appointed bedrooms as often as needed. Meals are provided, and ancillary services focus on a return to physical health.

Once withdrawal symptoms conclude and physical stabilization has been achieved, you can transition into the residential portion of our program.

Residential Inpatient Treatment

Residential inpatient treatment is an important part of many addiction recovery journeys for a number of reasons. First of all, the period of time immediately following detox is the most vulnerable for those who are new to sobriety. Cravings are intense, and a person hasn’t developed the skills they need to stay sober through challenging situations and uncomfortable emotions. Residential treatment provides a safe, secure, and substance-free environment during this particularly challenging time.

Additionally, clients have access to a range of proven treatment options—all in one place. At CuraWest our residential program combines traditional talk therapy with innovative holistic approaches to recovery.

Clients undergo full days of individual, group, and family therapy, interwoven with group outings, educational workshops, peer support meetings, and a range of other services and activities. We focus on healing the mind, body and spirit as we help lay a solid foundation for continued sobriety. 

Aftercare Planning

Upon the successful completion of medical detox and inpatient treatment, it’s imperative for clients to adhere to their personal aftercare plans. Given the chronic and potentially relapsing nature of substance use disorders, ongoing treatment and support are crucial for long-term recovery.

Typically, this involves ongoing engagement in individual therapy sessions and active participation in structured support systems such as the 12-Step program or equivalent alternatives. For individuals with co-occurring mental health conditions, continued psychiatric care may also be advised to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment.

Throughout the duration of detox and residential treatment, a tailored aftercare plan is meticulously crafted for each client. This process is a collaborative effort involving the client, their dedicated case manager, and the wider clinical team. The objective is to formulate a plan that is not only tailored to the client’s specific needs and recovery goals but also cognizant of their future commitments and lifestyle to ensure practicality and efficacy.
